The pictures for sale in the Galleries section of this website are prints on paper of original batiks on silk by Elizabeth Sykes. They are supplied either mounted only (worldwide) or mounted and framed (UK only) - Sorry, but the PayPal shopping basket system we use cannot handle the different carriage rates which have to be applied for these heavier articles outside the UK. If you order framed prints online for delivery outside the UK, we shall send you a PayPal email invoice for payment of additional carriage before the goods are despatched. (We can handle these rates, however! So if you want framed prints outside the UK, please contact us directly. You can still pay securely through PayPal with your debit/credit card.) All pictures ordered online have ivory-coloured mounts. You can choose from a selection of frame mouldings.

 

All dimensions relate to the outside of the mount and the relative dimensions of picture to mount are roughly like this (showing a picture framed):

 

 

Please note that all dimensions and illustrated proportions are approximate.

 

Mounted-only pictures are packaged with an explanation of the batik process. Three sizes are available:

 

                                 10 in x 8 in:    £13.55

                                 14 in x 12 in:  £26.00

                                 17 in x 14 in:  £36.25

 

Framed pictures are supplied in the same three mount sizes:

 

                                 10 in x 8 in:    £22.82

                                 14 in x 12 in   £46.64

                                 17 in x 14 in   £61.45

 

They are glazed with glass and have picture cord attached, ready to hang on the wall.

 

There is a standard shipping charge of £5.00 per order (UK only for framed prints). The only exception is the distillery set in one frame (at the bottom of the Islay Distilleries gallery page). This is subject to

an additional carriage charge of £12.00 per set due to its greater

weight and packaging requirements.

 

We aim to despatch mounted-only pictures within 24 hours, weekends excluded, and framed pictures within 3 working days.

 

For your guaranteed security, all payments are made through PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account.

 

Please note that, when products are shipped abroad, we are not responsible for taxes or duties levied by other countries.

 

At the studio on Islay we supply a wide range of mount colours and a wide selection of frame mouldings: we are also general picture framers and make all the frames for our pictures in the studio. If you would like to have a different mount colour, or different frame moulding, please contact us directly.

 

For each picture there is only one original on silk. Those for sale in our Gallery on Islay are shown on the Original Pictures page.

 

Liz also makes a wide selection of batik products, including beautiful square and long silk scarves, which are now available online worldwide. Our scarves pages show ten of these unique scarves. Prices range from  £74.95 to £89.95 depending on the difficulty and length of the work involved in making the different scarves.

 

Liz is a very experienced picture framer, offering a general picture framing service, so if you are coming to Islay, bring any framing jobs with you and get them done well and in time for your return journey.
